Liverpool manager Arne Slot on the fitness of Joe Gomez and Wataru Endo:* "I expect Joe to train with us tomorrow and Wata, not yet.
On the amount of games played recently: "We had four players on the bench who haven't played any minutes in the Premier League and these players just keep going with so many games to go.
"If anyone was like: 'Hmm, why does he take Florian [Wirtz] off, for example?' Two days after the game, he felt his hamstring still too much. That's why he couldn't train and only trained yesterday.
"With all the games coming up, it was too much of a risk if you don't have so many players available with Premier League experience and, of course, Cody [Gakpo] is a good replacement to bring him in.
"These are all the things we have to take into account, players available with at least some Premier League experience for the schedule we are going in.
"We have already had two months of non-stop playing football and most of them, six or seven months non-stop playing football. So everyone stayed fit, positive, a clean sheet. If I have to take something positive, it's those two and Ibou [Konate] didn't get a yellow, so is not suspended."
*Liverpool manager Arne Slot on them gaining momentum:* _"It’s clear and obvious that we hardly concede chances any more against the opponents we’ve had in the last seven or eight games. But it’s also clear and obvious that we find it quite hard to generate enough chances for all the ball possession we have._
_"That’s not new for us this season. The players keep trying but sometimes you need a bit of magic to unlock a game or a set-piece and if that then happens, then everything looks much nicer."_
*Liverpool manager Arne Slot on the season so far as we reach the halfway point* : "Realistically, there are two teams are quite far away from us.
"We shouldn’t look at those two at this moment in time. We’ve had our struggles throughout.
"Every single game we play, it’s hard work and two teams that are close to each other.
"For the first 19 games, it’s been a constant battle close to each other. Sometimes we get lucky and sometimes we’re unlucky."
